INSTALLATION
- Determine whether to install the Fuel Catalyst before or after the fuel or transfer pump.
- Connect the Fuel Catalyst to the closest point of injection either directly or using a short hose (3 inches).
- Connect the fuel line to either end of the Fuel Catalyst.
- Secure the catalyst so as to prevent vibration or contact wear.
- Use only quality hydraulic fittings and hoses.
IMPORTANT
- Install after all filters and as close to the point of injection as possible.
- Use only the highest quality fittings and fuel grade hoses.
- During installation make sure their is NO dirt or foreign matter in the hoses, fittings or on the unit.
- Prime the Fuel Catalyst with Diesel fuel to avoid the possibility of putting "air" in the fuel line.
- Tighten or seat all fittings. To remove a tight fitting use an air pressure "Lug" wrench. Do NOT put in a vise to loosen. A vise will make the unit "out of round" which will cause the unit to leak.
- Secure the Fuel Catalyst so as to prevent vibration against other objects which could ultimately cause the fitting or hoses to leak.
- Remove plastic shrink-wrap from unit.
- Start engine and check for leaks.
- As part of regular maintenance, continually check to see that the unit remains secure and that there are no leaks.
